Volvo Canada Reveals Pricing Details for 2025 EX30 Electric SUV

Volvo Canada has released the comprehensive pricing structure for its 2025 EX30, the newest addition to its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio. This small premium electric SUV was first showcased in Milan, Italy, earlier this year in June.

The EX30 has been set with a competitive starting price of $53,700, placing it on par with traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) SUVs in the premium segment. Potential buyers have the flexibility to choose from five exterior color options: Moss Yellow, Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, Crystal White, and Onyx Black.

Shifting focus to the interiors, the design philosophy echoes Scandinavian minimalism. The cabin incorporates natural and recycled leather-free materials and offers four distinct interior design expressions: Mist, Pine, Indigo, and Breeze. Each design can be further complemented by one of the five ambient light themes, inspired by different Swedish landscapes.

In line with Volvo’s reputation for safety, the EX30 comes equipped with an extensive suite of safety features. This includes a standard Driver Alert System with Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Door Opening Alert, and Front & Rear Collision mitigation. The EX30 also takes a progressive step towards environmental safety, designed to have the lowest CO2 footprint among Volvo's existing lineup.

For the tech-savvy user, Google is built directly into the system, providing native Google Maps and Google Assistant functionalities. Apple CarPlay is also included as a wireless feature.

The vehicle comes in three different package levels for its Single Motor Extended Range variant, starting at an MSRP of $53,700 for the 'Core' package. The 'Plus' and 'Ultra' packages are priced at $56,900 and $59,100 respectively. For those looking at more power, the Twin Motor Performance variant starts at an MSRP of $59,900 for 'Plus' and $62,100 for 'Ultra'.

Each package offers a variety of upgrades. For example, the 'Plus' package includes a Harman Kardon Premium Sound system, a panoramic roof, and 19-inch wheels with a dual-tone roof in Onyx Black. The 'Ultra' package further enhances the driving experience with features such as the next generation of Pilot Assist with Lane Change Assistance, a 360-degree camera with 3D view, and Park Pilot Assist.

Notably, Volvo Canada has factored in the Canadian climate, standardizing heated front seats and a heated steering wheel across all variants.

The EX30 can be reserved later this autumn with customer deliveries slated to begin next summer. Two powertrain options are available, providing an EPA-estimated electric range of up to 442 kilometers, making the vehicle versatile for both city and long-distance driving.

With this pricing announcement, Volvo inches closer to its goal of becoming an all-electric automaker by 2030 and aims to be carbon neutral by 2040.
