Key improvements made to the 2023 Volvo SUV lineup

The Volvo SUV lineup is getting a long list of improvements in 2023. These improvements began in 2022 on the Volvo XC60 which received more efficient, electrified powertrains across every trim while other models like the Volvo XC40 and C40 Recharge gave us our first glimpse of a new infotainment system using Google technology which will now be found across the Volvo 2023 SUV lineup. Better efficiency

The 2023 Volvo SUV lineup replaces the T4 and T5 engine this by B4 and B5 powertrains in the Volvo XC40, while the Volvo XC90 gets the new B5 and B6 engines which were first introduced on the XC60 earlier this year.

These engines deliver better efficiency by using a mild-hybrid system which assists at startup as well as when accelerating to ensure the highest level of performance when needed but also reducing the strain on the gas engine.

The other significant improvement made to the 2023 Volvo SUV lineup involves the plug in hybrid T8 engines. These engines are now paired with a more capable and powerful battery which translates into double the all-electric range for the XC60 Recharge and XC90 Recharge.

Both models will offer nearly 60 km of all electric range, allowing you to do most of your daily commute without needing a single drop of fuel. Volvo PHEV Recharge models also gain new one-pedal driving capability across the board.

The new 2023 Volvo SUV lineup will also get a new trim lineup featuring new Core, Plus, and Ultimate models.

Better infotainment capability

Every 2023 Volvo SUV will feature the new Google-based infotainment system which was introduced on the C40 Recharge. This new system provides enhanced connectivity through the use of Google Assistant, Google Maps navigation, and over-the-air updates. New 2023 Volvo SUVs also get new USB-C ports up front.
