Meet the EX30, Volvo's new fully electric small SUV that promises to be as safe as any Volvo ever designed, yet boasting the smallest CO2 footprint to date. Debuting earlier this month in Milan, Italy, the EX30 is a significant step for Volvo's growing electric offering and a testament to their ambition to meet the accelerating demand for eco-friendly vehicles in the compact SUV segment.

The EX30, though smaller in size, maintains the integrity of Volvo's design values, featuring a long wheelbase, large wheels and equal overhangs. It flaunts a distinctive electric character, with a bold visage, a closed shield, and digital renditions of the Thor's Hammer headlights, available in five vibrant exterior colors.

The EX30 also delivers in terms of performance and charging capacity, offering two powertrain options to suit various needs. The Single Motor Extended Range variant, powered by an efficient NMC extended-range battery, ensures an impressive estimated range of 442 km between charges. For performance aficionados, the Twin Motor Performance variant provides all-wheel drive, 422 hp, and clocks 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, making it Volvo’s fastest-accelerating car yet.

Apart from the EX30's impressive powertrain, the model's chassis is tuned to capitalize on its compact dimensions, ensuring ease of driving and maneuverability. Additionally, it is equipped with an upgraded version of Volvo's popular Park Pilot Assist feature, providing an effortless parking experience in diverse conditions.

Echoing Volvo's sustainability commitments, the EX30 aims to reduce its total carbon footprint over 124,274 miles of driving to below 30 tons. The new model incorporates safety features, such as an alert system to prevent 'dooring' accidents, and state-of-the-art restraint technology that adheres to Volvo's rigorous safety standards.

In line with Volvo's Scandinavian design principles, the EX30 offers four distinct interior themes and includes a suite of tech features to enhance convenience and enjoyment. A contextual single-screen UX, featuring Google built-in, delivers an unrivaled infotainment experience, developed in partnership with tech giants like Google, Apple, and Qualcomm, and ECARX through the HaleyTek joint venture.

Lastly, Volvo is poised to introduce a Cross Country variant of the EX30 next year, featuring increased ground clearance, 19-inch black wheels, and additional bespoke features, expanding its line-up for customers seeking a touch more adventure.

With the EX30, Volvo continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainability, safety, and technological innovation, offering a small yet mighty SUV that lives up to its lofty standards.
