The S60 series features two powertrains and several grade options that help you personalize the S60. Three models feature the T5 engine, which is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that outputs 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. 

Another exciting powertrain option in the S60 includes a hybrid. Featured as part of the S60 Recharge, the T8e delivers 400 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque while achieving a very low fuel consumption rating of 8.4/7.0 L/100 km (city/highway). The Polestar Engineered variant features even more power, with 415 horsepower.

The A4 offers two gas engines in its lineup. The Komfort trim includes a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that develops 201 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. Remaining trims (optional in the Komfort) is another 2.0-litre that is boosted to 261 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque.

The S4 is also an option, but only delivers 349 horsepower, which is way below what the S60 can reach with its top engines.

Neither A4 powertrain has a matching or lower combined efficiency rating than the Volvo S60 Recharge. You can have nearly double the horsepower and torque for less fuel burn with the Recharge.
